The Minister of Defence leads the Army High Council meeting in Barcelona

The Minister of Defence, María Dolores de Cospedal, led the Army High Council meeting in Barcelona, on 19 June, at the Army General Inspection headquarters. They assured that democratic societites "are those that fight for what belongs to everyone, because unity is not a product of plurality and integration makes us all stronger."

Later, Cospedal visited the temporary exhbition “Engineers, soldiers and the wise” that have renovated the "Military Government" building in Barcelona. During the visit, the minister stated that the Spanish Government "will continue working to bring us closer together, always defending what we have in common and what unites us."

When speaking about the exhibition, the holder of the Defence title emphasised that this type of initiatives are needed for their contribution to Defence Culture, "so that people can know the truth about historical facts and the contribution that the people of Catalonia have made to the development of Spain the Spanish Army."
