2nd Training Center collaborates in a race in favour of those who suffer Alzheimer's disease in San Fernando

2nd Training Center (CEFOT in Spanish) has collaborated in the 13th Popular Night Race for Alzheimer sufferers' Worldwide Day, organized by the Alzheimer sufferers' Association (AFA Vitae in Spanish), the Althletics Club Carmona Páez and the Sports Municipal Organization of San Fernando's Council, the 21st of October in San Fernando (Cádiz).

The race consisted on 9km and it was developed, mainly, over an urban cycle. It went through the base "Camposoto", 2nd CEFOT's settlement. On the other hand and as innovation, this year the Center participated in the category "number 0", building an unit consisting, approximately, on 200 runners, counting both, stationed personnel and students from the 1st cycle in 2017. Apart from the 2nd CEFOT, the 4th Coast Artillery Regiment also took part in this category. Both units were applauded by the public that accompanied the runners along the whole route.

With these kind of initiatives, the Center expects to instil to future soldiers of the Spanish Army about the involvement of the Army itself with social problems.
