'Valiant-Lynx' starts moving

The personnel and media taking part in "Valiant-Lynx" exercise, being considered as the largest one carried out by the Spanish Army during 2018, have started this week their deployment in "San Gregorio" (Zaragoza) and "Chinchilla" (Albacete) Training Centres, Betera's base and Torrejón de Ardoz's base.

Altogether 5.000 soldiers, 250 armoured and mechanized vehicles, 550 light vehicles and 160 materiel containers will be deployed, in a gradual way, to their assigments in order to participate in this exercise.

The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps' Headquarters of Bétera lead the "Valiant-Lynx", where it will be trained as General Staff of the Spanish Army in the conduction of an operation of a multinational force abroad.

In the exercise will participate the General Staff of "San Marcial" Division, 12th "Guadarrama" Brigade, the Artillery Field Command, 11th "España" Cavalry Regiment, the Logistics Brigade or the Airmobile Forces of the Spanish Army, among other units.
