On 5th July, the Headquarters NATO Rapid Deployable Corps (HQ NRDC-ESP) celebrated their annual plenary meeting in their Bétera base (Valencia) with the participation of representatives from 11 allied countries currently present in its Headquarters and in the General Staff of the Spanish Army.

The plenary meeting is one the most important meetings which takes place in HQ NRDC-ESP in which they revise the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed by the participating countries. Furthermore, important modifications are proposed to be approved by all the allied countries which make up the headquarters.

The HQ NRDC-ESP is an organisation of international character, therefore any changes that affect its mission, status, responsabilities, agreements, personnel or finance must be agreed upon by all members. At present, there are 11 nations represented in HQ NRDC-ESP: Germany, United States of America, France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Romania, Turkey and Spain.

The attendees at the meeting were received by the Chief of the High Readiness Force Land Headquarters and of HQ NRDC-ESP, lieutenant general Francisco José Gan Pampols, who welcomed them to Valencia and thanked them for attending the meeting.
