For the General Headquarters in Bétera, this exercise has involved the deployment of a response cell simulating a joint level HQ before its certification at the end of 2019.

From 4th to 15th February the NATO HQ NRDC-ESP based in Bétera (Valencia), has transferred 20 soldiers to participate in the 'Common Tenacity 19' exercise, which has served as training and preparation towards the certification of the Bétera HQ to lead a Land Heavy Small Joint Operation, being evaluated in the 'Trident Jackal 19' exercise at the end of 2019.

In this exercise, the NRDC-ESP members have cooperated in the training of a response cell simulating a joint level command post to train the Eurocorps personnel in problem solving as Land Component Command in a high intensitysetting.

In the 'Common Tenacity 19' exercise, the Eurocorps HQ has accomplished its training targets of being better prepared for the Land Component Command certificate of the NATO Response Force in 2020. This certification will be obtained after the 'Trident Jupiter 19' certificate, that will take place in Stavanger (Norway), from 26th October to 14th November, after passing the training evaluation for combat preparation.

Apart from the NATO NRDC-ESP personnel, Spain has provided personnel from the Land Force, from the Joint Special Operations Command, from the Maritime Action Force and from the Combined Air Operations Centre based in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
