The Experimental Brigade was the focus of attention from a German delegation which visited Spain on the 27th and 28th of May, because this project has aroused interest from the German Army.

Firstly, the delegation attended a presentation about its mission, organisation, projects and challenges, many of which it shares with the German Army’s Concepts and Capacities Development Centre. This meeting falls within the two sessions which hoped to connect the two organisations in order to consolidate their professional and institutional relationship.  It was held in Granada in the Research, Doctrine, Organisation and Command Materials headquarters, part of the Training and Indoctrination Command in Granada.

Afterwards, they attended a presentation about Force 2035, the Experimental Brigade and the VJTF23 German Brigade, which continued to be discussed the following day during their visit to ‘Álvarez de Sotomayor’  base in Viator (Almeria). There, they attended presentations about the concept of the Experimental Brigade, the Experimentation Plan, and the Role of the Combatant. Additionally, in the Third 3rd of the Legion they were presented with the concept of the Experimental Combat Group.

They also visited a display of equipment which the Brigade is receiving on the occasion of it being designated as an Experimental Brigade. Among the numerous items on display the Battlefield Management System, the Orbiter 3 Remotely Piloted Aerial System and the RG-31 armoured recovery vehicle called MaxxPro, amongst others, all stood out.
