After a peace support and area control exercise that took place on 6th May at the Renedo-Cabezón exercise area and field of fire, in Valladolid, the 3rd Reconnaissance Squadron of the 12th ‘Farnesio’ Cavalry Squadron has passed its biennial training review.
The exercise included escorting a logistics convoy, inspecting two possible IEDs, reacting to an ambush and a full deployment.
In each of the activities the Squadron’s performance was optimal. It was therefore certified that the unit is ready to accomplish any mission it might be assigned.
The Squadron is currently allocated to the 9th Mechanised Infantry Brigade, and during this semester it is in the phase of immediate response. The assessment of the training spans a two-year cycle.
