Soldier Martínez L. climbs the podium twice during the European Military Climbing Championships

Soldier Martínez L. of the 9th Transport Group/41st Logistic Support Group has twice climbed the podium during the European Military Climbing Championships, organised by the Army Mountaineer Association and the British Army in North Wales (Great Britain) and held from 22 to 27 June.

More than 50 participants from several European countries took part and the Spanish representative finished third in two events: Bouldering and difficult climbing. The former consists of climbing several routes of great difficulty in few moves in a rockodrome of small height without the use of ropes. The latter involves very technical, high resistance routes using ropes.

For two days after the competition, all the national delegations took part in climbing activities at famous landmarks in North Wales, creating bonds of friendship through this beautiful sport.
