CIMIC unit and Battle Group 2017 unit certified for Lebanon

Civil-Military co-operation (CIMIC) units that will deploy for the next staff rotation in Lebanon (November, 2016) and that will be part of the European Union Battle Group (second semester, 2017) have been assessed and certified in an exercise done from Sept. 19th to 23rd in the military maneuvers field  ‘Montaña Negra´ in Castellon, East of Spain.


Both units are made of staff from the Civil-Military co-operation Battalion I, which is in charge to plan and design the activities that assessed the members of the next rotation as well as their tactical training.


Among other aspects, negotiation and mediation with civil authorities, CIMIC data base usage, reports writing and developing projects of fast impact were addressed. There was also driving lessons, rifle and handgun shooting, orientation, improvised explosive devices training, transmission jobs and Tactical Combat Casualty Care practice.
