'Fire and tradition', Armed Forces and Guardia Civil Falla festivity 2017 poster

The ''Fire and Tradition'' poster, by Luis A. Sánchez Ramos, has been the chosen by an ad hoc jury to annouce the 29th edition of the Spain´s Local Festivity, aka, Fallas, and Guarda Civil.

The event was chaired my Valencia and Castellón, Military Maior General Vicente Ripoll, and made up of Bachelor´s of Art in Beaux Arts (Visual Arts)  Graduates, delegates from the Town Hall Fallas Department in Valencia along with military personnel. The just mentioned jury met at the "San Juan de Ribera" 's barracks on 9Feb. to deliberate. Out of the chosen poster it was outlined the simplicity and symbolism as gesture of union between Valencians and Spain´s Armed Forces.

The awards ceremony will take place on 9March at the above mentioned barracks. at the same time as the event celebration of the Armed Forces and Guardia Civil 2017.  As the tradition has it; the eldest civilian and military ''FALLERAS'' (women picturesque do and wearing the traditional local attire) of Valencia. On Nov. 30th last year, the jut mentioned FALLAS  were declared UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage or ICH.
