Two Spanish Officers take part at the Conference of American Armies (CAA)

From Feb. 6-10, the 1st Civilian-Military Cooperation Battalion Chief, Commander Lieutenant Colonnel Castán, has attended (as national expert, along with an Officer from the Spanish Army Senior Staff), the Conference on Training in the Inter-agencies Environment held in Toronto, Canada. This conference is within the 32nd bi-yearly of the Conference of American Armies (CAA) in which the Spanish Army takes part as special observer.

 The CAA is a military international organization created in 1960 as ideas exchange forum and experiences among American Armies. This last time, the following 10 Members have participated at the Conference: Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, Venezuela, Chile and the United States.

 Also, there was an observer delegation from the Guyana Army, a delegation from the Interamerican Junta of Defense as international military organization observer and a Spanish Army delegation as special observer.
