Closing ceremony of the 13th NBC Risks Course for personnel from the Armed Forces and State Security Forces and Corps

The 13th NBC Risks Course for personnel from the Armed Forces and State Security Forces and Corps, in which 22 selected students reached the ability levels required for managing or reacting to an NBC incident, came to an end on 16 June in an event led by the Military School director, general José Mª. Millán.

From 3 May, the course participants carried out seven weeks of training at the NBC Military Defence School facilities, which are in Hoyo de Manzanares (Madrid). During this period, they received theory and practical classes, complemented by lectures from different experts in the field of NBC defence, visits to the Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial Campus (INTA, English: National Institute of Aerospace Technology) "La Marañosa" and the Central Defence Hospital High Level Isolation Unit "Gómez Ulla", as well as practical experience at the Health Brigade Field Hospital Group, the Environmental and Technological Emergencies Intervention Group of the Military Emergencies Unit and the nº 1 NBC “Valencia” Defence Regiment.

Students on the course came from different Army units, as well as from organisations such as the National Police Corps, the Merchany Navy General Management, the Civil Guard, the Central Defence Hospital “Gómez Ulla”, Malaga Regional University Hospital, Defence Military Pharmacy Centre, Defence Health General Inspection, National Institute of Aerospace Technology, Presidency of the Spanish Government and SUMMA 112.
