The Fast Painting Contest "Army Awards 2017", convened in its 55th edition, has been held the 30th of September at Buenavista Palace's gardens, Spanish Army Headquarters in Madrid. In the same day, it was celebrated the "Military Miniatures' Encounteer" too, where many works associated to categorized awards were collected.

That same Saturday afternoon, it was the decision taken by the Fast Painting Contest's jury, that gave the first award to "La Fuente del Deseo", by Sergio del Amo Saiz, the second award to "Primeras Luces", by Juan José Vicente Ramírez; the young award was announced as void; and the child-award went to "España Natural" by Rocío Manjón Núñez.

At Military Miniatures Contest, the rewarded person at Dioramas or Vignettes Master was Luis Fernando Solanas Jiménez with his "Improvisación" work; at Figures Master, "Yo Solo" by Antonio Zapatero Guardini and Gustavo Gil Campos; at Materials Master, "VMMD HUSKY MK III-2G", by Francisco Javier Cantarero Sierra;  at Standard Dioramas or Vignettes, "Segundo Homenaje a la Guardia Civil" by Luís Ángel Ruiz Fernández; at Standard Figures, "Cazador Guardia Real 1830" by José María García Torres; at Standar Materials, "SCHNEIDER CA-1. Segovia 1937" by Guillermo Marí Puyol; and at Standard Miscellany, it was declared as void.

During the event, the jury of the Army Awards 2017, also affirmed the verdict that they took at the Fast Paintint Contest, which went to the "Monumento" work, by Lucio Fernández de Miguel.
