The Spanish Army, in all the podiums of the 19th National Military Championship of Ski

The Spanish Army has stepped to the podium in all the modalities of the 19th National Military Champioship of Ski, which took place in Candanchú from the 13th to the 16th of February and in which units from the Spanish Army, the Air Forces, the Royal Guard, The Military Emergencies Units and the Civil Guard have participated.

At the ski mountaineering test, the winners, in both, men's and women's categories, were the patrols belonging to the Spanish Army; the first was formed by Corporals Cabal and Blanco; the second, by Captain Montañés and 1st Sergeant Sáez.

At the Nordic long-distance test, in men's category the winners were Corporal Piqueras, and the third position was taken by soldier Guzmán; in women's category, Sergeant Sáez was the first, whilst Sergeant Arias won bronze.

The first position in Gigant Slalom in men's category was taken by soldier Quintero, and in women's category, the second and third positions were taken by soldiers Galván and García.

In the Biathlon Sprint test, the representatives of the Spanish Army made a clean sweep: Corporal Piqueras won gold, followed by soldier Guzmán and soldier Quintana. In women's category, 1st Sergeant Sáez won.

The awarding ceremony took place at "San Bernardo" base; during it, apart from the awards to the winners of each test, 1st Sergeant Sáez was awarded with "Trofeo Excm. Ayuntamiento de Jaca" because she was the participant with the highest score during the competition. At the same time, the award to the best delegation of the Spanish Army was won by the Unit of the Army "Guadarrama XII".
