All the members of the Spanish patrol belonging to the 6th Brigade "Almogávares" obtained the Expert Infantry grade of the United States' Army after overcoming all the exercises, from the 27th of January to the 17th of February, at the military training field Moten Romano (Vicenza, Italia).

The exercise was organized by the 173rd Airborne Brigade, and in it participated 727 infantrymen from Croatia, France, Italy, the United States, Slovakia, Spain and Poland.

The great performance of the Spanish team -formed by five components from the Advanced Reconnaissance Company of the Headquarters' battalion of the Brigade- placed it a step forward of all the candidate patrols in the closing parade.

Altogether, they overcome 45 tests related to the maintenance and use of the principle weapons, knowledge and the application of the sanitary subjects and first-aids, and tactic matters such as topography, movements under direct fire, correction of indirect fires, signals aids and tactical communication, use of the elements and the NBC decontamination equipments, camouflage or the use of visual signals for the communication among the members of the team, apart from a tactic march of 12 miles in less than 3 hours.

Apart from the hardness of the exercises, it was added the facts that the used armaments and materials belonged to the American Army's inventory, and that all the explanations of the subjects were in English.
