Students belonging to the National Defense Course visit the General Staff of the Spanish Army

A group of 40 students belonging to the 38th National Defense Course, which always takes place at the High Studies Centre of Defense, has visited the General Staff of the Spanish Army, the 11th of April, where it was welcomed by the chief of General Staff of the Spanish Army (JEME), General Francisco Javier Varela Salas.

In its arrival, the delegation visited the noble area of Buenavista Palace, where it is placed the General Staff of the Spanish Army in Madrid. Afterwards, the students of the course attended a conference-discussion about the organization and the missions of the Spanish Army.

The course consisted in getting to know the culture of defense in between the authorities and the high civil heads of the State's management and people of relevance in politics, economy and society. The aim is to make a meditation about the principal aspects of security and the national defense, apart from promoting the mutual knowledge among the participants and also stimulating the establishment of personal bonds which make easier the development of their professional life serving the State or in any other field.
