Cadet´s Daily Routine

Incorporation

First-year cadets, coming from the General Army Corps Direct Access Mode, Civil Guard Corps, Army Quartermaster Corps, Army Polytechnic Engineers Corps and Defense Common Corps, enter the Academia General Militar at the beginning of the second fortnight in August.

It is a very special day for the would-be Officers because it implies not only their enlistment in the Academia General Militar, but it is also the first day of their military career.

From their arrival they are placed in the I Cadets’ Battalion, divided into companies and platoons. The new officer cadets will have to report to their future Lieutenant Colonel Battalion Commander, their Company Commander and their Captain Platoon Leader, as well as their Second-Lieutenants Cadets which will collaborate in their military training.

From then on, the cadet will have to start with the "Reception Module, Orientation and Adaptation to the military life, (MAOA in Spanish), which lasts two weeks. They are billeted in rooms which can hold up to 12 people, they go through the hairdresser's, they are given their basic military gear, they start their close order drills, etc.
