The Minister of Defense collaborates on "el Día de la Banderita" in the stand placed at the Headquarters' access

The Minister of Defense, María Dolores de Cospedal, has cooperated today at the Red Cross' collaboration, "Día de la Banderita", in the stand placed at the Headquarters access in Alcalá Street, Madrid, being atended by the Chief of General Staff of the Spanish Army (JEME in Spanish), General Valera, and the second JEME, General Lieutenant Bernardi.

The principal of Defense wanted to take part in this charity initiative, with a history older than 100 years. This time, the edition is especially dedicated to help children and young people in risk of social exclusion.

In order to motivate citizens to collaborate in this charity act too, Regiment "Inmemorial del Rey" nº1's Music Unit, whose members were also greeted by the Minister, made the day more pleasant, performing military marchs and popular songs.
