The Logistics Brigades trains in the 'Resilient Torch' exercise in Zaragoza

The Logistics Brigade (BRILOG) is being trained in the "Resilient Torch" exercise at the "San Gregorio" Training Centre (Zaragoza) from the 28th of May to the 8th of June in order to improve its performance concerning the normal procedures of military logistics in supply, maintenance and transport.

Taking advantage of the fact that some units of the General Command of Melilla are travelling to the previously mentioned CENAD to carry out "Alcántara" exercise, BRILOG has established a Joint Logistics Support Group (JLSG) that exercises control and coordination in the main logistical aspects, assuming the missions assigned during planning.

With the support of the Projection Support Group, 80 vehicles landed in Valencia and moved, divided into five marching columns between the Valencian port and CENAD, along more than 300 kilometres. The personnel came from Malaga's port, moving to Zaragoza with the support of Transport Group III/21. The other part of the military transport, which is dedicated to vehicles that did not travel by their means, was carried out by the 1st Transport Group.

Three of the columns stopped at the Convoy Support Centre at the Teruel-Caudé airport, the military version of a "service area". It provided fuel tanks for refuelling, a cooperative, an Advanced Life Support team and personal hygiene facilities for the members of the vehicle columns, all under the responsibility of the 41st Logistics Support Group (AALOG in Spanish).

In addition, the CENAD life zone hosted the training of BRILOG staff for the tasks arising from their integration into a JLSG-type General Staff structure, from which logistical operations have been planned and conducted. The Command Post at "San Gregorio" has been set up on tents, demonstrating the ability to protect and drive a RSOM (Reception, Staging, Onward Movement) process from unprepared or unprepared locations. To this end, the essential support of the telecommunications resources of the 41st AALOG Signals and Logistics Command has been provided.
