The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Spain Headquarters (HQ NRDC-ESP) has started the deployment of material and means from its base in Bétera (Valencia) to the Military Base of Araca (Vitora-Spain), place where exercise Steadfast Leda 2021 will be carried out at the end of November.

The Bétera Military Base (Valencia) has been the starting point for the first convoys responsible for setting up the command post of the headquarters at the Araca Military Base. The deployment will be carried out by land, taking place in different waves, ending in mid-November when the staff personnel participating in the exercise will arrive.

The nature of the HQ NRDC-ESP requires that the combat evaluation and subsequent certification processes allow us planning and putting in practice the projection capacity, sometimes not only by land, but also by air and sea, as in previous years' exercises.

Exercise Steadfast Leda 2021.is a computer-assisted command post exercise to be held in late November, scheduled by NATO and led by the NATO Joint Force Training Center (Bydgoszcz-Poland). The purpose of it is to train, evaluate and, if successful, certify the HQ NRDC-ESP to be able to assume the commitment as NATO Warfighting Corps (WFC) for one year since January 1, 2022.
