From May 30 to June 1, 38 student Sergeants from the Artillery Academy who are studying in Segovia, were part of the 1st Battery of the I/4 Coastal Artillery Group.

The students belonging to 47^th class, previously carried out an extended instruction day in which they became familiar with the handling of the coastal artillery systems and the Regiment's procedures. Later on, the student Sergeants, and the artillery howitzers and systems moved to the Punta Camarinal Barracks in Tarifa, where they continued with training activities prior to the firing exercise.

On Wednesday, June 1, the student Sergeants carried out the live firing exercise after having acquired the knowledge and skills in handling the Coastal Artillery systems.

The exercise was inspected by the Lieutenant General Chief of the Land Force, who was able to see from the site of the Coastal Defense Unit (UDACTA) deployed for this purpose, the level of skills achieved by the student Sergeants embedded in all tactical positions, from the Command and Control Post to the Firing Unit.
