• On an azure field (blue), a golden key vertically set, the key grip above and the key bit facing to the right, flanked with a golden “F” on the right hand and a golden “Y” on the left hand, both these letters are in Gothic Script. Below appear three silver waves.

Justificación:

• The “F” and “Y” are in memory of the Catholic Monarchs who achieved the National Unity on Andalusian Soil when the Reconquering was over. The key is a symbol of Spanish claim over Gibraltar and its Rock. Likewise, together with the field in azure and the silver waves symbolize the control exercised over the Straits of Gibraltar.
