SVEIKI

This greeting, which means “Good Morning” in Latvian, was one of the first words the Spanish Military learned from their hosts while being deployed to the Adazi Base in Latvia. Together, since Mid-June they have been living with soldiers from six other nationalities, in the framework of the new NATO mission “Reinforced Advanced Presence” (eFP in Spanish).

A Permanent Mission

How can you protect yourself from a threat that falls from the sky? One part of the answer to this question comes from the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Command, given that this Army Command contributes to uninterrupted national airspace defense and security. It does so by the permanent support of a Land Based Air Defense Unit (UDAA) under the command of the Defense and Air Operations Command (MDOA), created in 2012 as a unifying force together with the Armed Forces.

Spanish Army + University = Project I + D

The collaboration agreement signed in 1998 between the Ministry of Defence and the University of Granada led to the creation of the MADOC- University of Granada Mixed Centre (Instruction and Doctrine Command). One of the activities of this centre is the financing of research projects that are of interest to the Spanish Army.
