The King presides in the Presentation of Royal Degrees at the General Elementary NCO Academy

His majesty the King, Felipe VI, accompanied by the Minister of Defense, María Doloroes de Cospedal, and the Chief of the Army Staff, General Francisco Javier Varela Salas, presented Royal Degrees to 483 new Sargeants of the Spanish Land Forces in the General Elementary NCO Academy in Talarn, Lérida on July 10th. 

After receiving the orderly honors, the King reviewed the formation accompanied by the Army General Varela Salas.

Earlier, the King assigned the distinctive white Military Merit Cross and made the presentation of the Royal Degree to the number one student, Sargeant Lorenzo. Likewise, the Counselor of the Catalonian Government, Neus Munté, presented a replicate to the sword of Jaime I "The Conquerer", a prize that, since 1980, the Government of Catalonia awards to the best student.

The Military Act, which reaches three demanding years of new sargeant formation, finished with the traditional "Dismissed" and throwing their hats into the air by all 483 new Sargeants of the XLII General Army Corps.
