JEME, General of the Army Francisco Javier Varela, has chaired the 23rd of September the central act celebrated in Garray (Soria) with the aim of commemorating the 2150th anniversary of the fall of the celtiberian city of Numantia by the Roman people.

The commemorative act has been developed in two different scenes: in Garray and in the archaeological site.

A military stop and a tribute to the Spanish flag, raising the National ensign in Plaza Mayor, took place at the sorian town.
The flag, that has been granted by the Spanish Army to the Town Council of Garray, it will be exhibit in the town.

Later, civil and military authorities moved to the point where it is placed the old city of Numancia's site. There, the Sorian military authority, General Manuel Romero; and the Ripalda Earl, Amalio de Marichalar, made an offering to the monolith that reminds of its heroic inhabitants. Next, two Spanish Air Force's F-18 combat jets and seven  paratroopers belonging to the Air Force's Acrobatic Patrol made a parachute jumping.

To conclude, the Music Unit belonging to the Headquarters Battalion of the "San Marcial" Division offered themselves to perform a concert in Garray.
