The Minister of Defense highlights in her visit to Turkey the work carried out by the Spanish Army

In this way, the principal of Defense has reminded the importance of the Spanish contigent's participation in the frame of the allied operation "Active Fence", with its contribution consisting on reinforcing the land based air defense capacities of the country.
Cospedal has pointed out that the significance of the mission, being the only one with artillery units, "Supporting Turkey" ("Apoyo a Turquía" in Spanish), "manifests the importance of having a well-prepared and equipped Artillery, at the same height as the most important ones in the world".
The Minister has also expressed her gratitude to the deployed militars' families and Friends in Turkey, because all the support that they provide them contributes to a better development of the operations.
Currently, it is located in that area the 6th Force's replacement, that it is deployed since the past 20th of June with a contingent close to 150 militars and the a Patriot missiles' battery.
