Each day there are more and more people who, from different professional areas –both public and prívate-, share a common interest in topics related with security and defence. As a fruit of this interest, the Association of Spanish Graduates in Security and Defence is born, registered in the Ministry of Interior’s National Register of Associations.

The Association of Spanish Graduates in Security and Defence has the primary aim of contributing to propagating security and defence matters within Spanish society (in the national, autonomic and local scopes), by fostering social participation, exchange of experiences and the promotion of these matters in international organisations and networks, in accordance with the Government’s Spanish Security Strategy proposals and programmes.

Members of the Association may be all those who have completed postgraduate university studies and obtained a university diploma, master’s degree or doctorate in areas of security and defence. The president of the Association of Spanish Graduates in Security and Defence is Ms. María Angustias Caracuel.

The Association has as its motto 'Si vis pacem et securitatem, defende' ('If you want peace and security, defend them'), and is located at the National College of PhD and University Graduates in Political Science and Sociology (100 Ferraz Street, 100. 28008 Madrid).
