The fourth and final Communication and Information System classroom was inaugurated on 12th January, in 16th Light Infantry Brigade ‘Canarias’, which now allows  the Canary Island command to have an installation with the same equipment as in the area of operations so that its personnel may practice before leaving on a mission.

The delivery ceremony was presided over by the chief of the Command, Lieutenant General César Muro, and also attending on behalf of the Information and Communication System Command, in charge of the creation of these classrooms, was the deputy director of Network Operations, General José M. Roldán.

This initiative aims to improve the knowledge of the equipment that is used in international missions, which many times is not available in Spain, to favour that the entry into efficiency of the personnel who have to operate them is more direct, rapid and effective following deployment.

To this end, they are equipped with voice, public address system, wifi, own force tracking system, secure operational network, as well as other training resources for the students.  .

The first of these classrooms was inaugurated in the 21st Signals Regiment  in Marines (Valencia), in May; the second, shortly afterwards, in the 2nd Signals Regiment in Madrid, and the third, in November, was installed in the 1st Signal Regiment en Burgos.
