The number of personal clothing and gear items that military personnel may request by means of a computer application designed for this purpose will increase from January next –rising from 46 to 94- , and many of these will have a renewed design, technical improvements and better quality in the raw materials used in their elaboration.

Among the innovations, there are elements both in combat equipment and work uniform, along with the complementary equipment used in mountain units, the Legion or in the Paratroops Brigade, which all Army servicepersons and those posted to its structure may request through the new Army Personal Clothing and Gear IT Application.

Noteworthy, among other modifications, is the replacement of the all weather outdoor suit with the storm suit, which is much lighter and that, on being more fitted to the body, is more comfortable to wear under the fragmentation vest; this combat equipment element, in the case of warm climates, may be worn over the new light shirt, very breathable and quick drying thanks to the technical fabric with which it is made.

The polar fleece jacket now becomes an independent clothing item, which, on the outside, is coated with wind breaking fabric.

Field boots now have two models:  a waterproof-breathable one, with a Goretex membrane, and another light field one.  Both gain in ergonomics with respect to those at present equipping the Army.

The carry-on is up-dated to incorporate a detachable back pack which facilitates its use and transport.
