The fleet of the new off-road trucks is nearly 100 thanks to the last delivery

Thursday, October 6, 2016

Number: 5522

The Spanish Army has nearly 100 new off-road trucks after the Weapons' Systems Sub-directorate Acquisitions Headquarters got, on September 27th, other 38 units joining the 58 already gotten in January.

Six of these 38 units are equipped with a self-loading crane each. This way, the truck is self-sufficient for material loading giving long-range to the military units getting these trucks.

The number of these off-road trucks will continue to grow. It is expected to receive other 70 before the year's end. This way, the target of keeping up-to-date the fleet is met with more modern and cutting edge technology.

The new (IVECO) trucks are much better than the current ones because, among other things, they have better net power, security, and load and carrying capacity.

At the same time to this delivery, trainig sessions (on behalf of the manufacturer) are taken place to train drivers to make sure a fast commissioning of these off-road trucks.
