Concert for the 125th anniversary of the Immaculate Conception as Patron Saint of the Infantry

The Music Units of the Infantry Academy, beloging to the 1st Infantry Regiment "Inmemorial del Rey" and the Choir "Capilla Diocesana de Toledo" offered, the 11th of Novemeber, a concert at Toledo's cathedral in order to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Immaculate Conception as Patron Saint of  the Infantry.

Among the 1.500 people attending the ceremony, were the Minister of Defense, María Dolores de Cospedal, the Chief of General Staff of the Spanish Army, General Varela, the President of the Community's Committee of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, and the director of the Infantry Academy, Colonel Francisco J. Marcos, among other authorities.

Different pieces were performed, among them the new procession march entitled "La Custodia de Toledo", created by the director of the Music Unit from the Infantry Academy, Major Espanza. The concert ended with the chords of the National Anthem.

The act which was celebrated, because of the same motive, was a Mass, celebrated on Sunday the 12th in the morning at Primada de Toledo Church, concelebrated by the Army Archbishop, Juan del Río, and Toledo's Archbishop and Primatial of Spain, Braulio Rodríguez.
