Members of the 1st "Aragón" Brigade have participated, during this month of March, in various exercises of preparation of the Italian "Pinerolo" Brigade, to which it is twined, for its next deployment in Afghanistan.

On the one hand, a delegation of officers came, from the 12th to the 16th of March, to the Command Post exercise called "Pegaso", developed at the Centre of Simulation and Validation of the Army in Civitavecchia, Rome. The objective was to assess and certify the capacity of the contingent's General Staff in the management of complex operative situations, which may appear in the operations zone. Most of the members of the rotation in Afghanistan belong to the 9th "Bari" Infantry Regiment. It paralely performed the "Centauro" Livex exercise at the "Torre Veneri" manoeuvres field, in Lecce, from the 6th to the 16th of March.

During those days, a team of the "Badajoz" battalion belonging to the 62nd "Arapiles" Regiment is framed inside the bilateral activities programmed to advance in the twinning process that both Brigades have started since last year. It looks forward to advance in the interoperability of the armies' units of the allied countries.

With these meetings it is expected to build up professional and personal bonds among the personnel of the different Brigades so that the incorporation in future combined groups in international missions gets eassier.
