Battalion 'Mérida' improves its inter-force training

Counterattack and delay actions, crossing lines, the occupation of a meeting zone, the advancing movement for contact, relays of positions or attacking an enemy position were the main matters in the exercise of tactical group entity which ended the training week of the 1st Vehicles Battalion "Mérida". It took place at the manoeuvres field of "General Menacho" base of Bótoa (Badajoz), from the 9th to the 13th of April.

The first days consisted in conducting exercises of company entity of the different units belonging to the Battalion, being also involved a mechanised section of the 6th Regiment "Saboya", a section of the 11th Engineers Battalion, a liason detachment team and a anti-aircraft defense squad belonging to the 11th Artillery of Campaing Group, for the exercise at battalion level.
