NATO Staff in Bétera is visited by the chief of its homonymous in Greece

Lieutenant General Dimitrios Bikos, chief of the NATO General Staff with base in Tesalónica (Greece), has visited, the 25th of April, the Headquarters NATO Rapid Deployable Corps (HQ NRDC-ESP), whose military base "Jaime I" is located in Bétera (Valencia).

The Greek soldier was welcomed by Lieutenant General Francisco José Gan Pampols, chief of the HQ NRDC-ESP, at "Santo Domingo" Staff, in Valencia, where he visited the historical part of Santo Domingo Convent.

In Bétera, Lieutenant General Bikos was informed about the composition, organization and capacities of the General Staff; he visited its fixed facilities, the operations centre and the planning room.

Afterwards, the Greek Officer went to Marines Base, where he visited an operational capacities exhibition of different units, such as the 8th "Lusitania" Cavalry Regiment, the 3rd Anti-aircraft Artillery Group (equipped with Patriot missiles), the 21th Signals Regiment, the 1st NBC Defense Regiment and the 1st Military Police Battalion.

To finish his visit in Spain, Lieutenant General Bikos came back to Bétera's base, where he had a meeting with the Greek contingent, formed by six Greek soldiers, posted in the Spanish General Staff.
