The Mountain and Special Operations Military School opened its doors on 30th October, to a group of former Special Operations Company soldiers who reunited in order to remember their Obligatory Military Service days, also coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the creation of this Special Operations Company. On 8th October members of the Skiing-Climbing Company had carried out a similar event.

Both groups’ visit began with a gathering in the Base "San Bernardo” auditorium in Jaca (Huesca), where they were welcomed by the Mountain and Special Operations Military School’s director, Colonel Francisco Rubio, and had the opportunity to view videos and photographs from their military period. After touring the installations where they served, a group photograph was taken; as well, they visited the School’s Museum and participated in a fraternal meal.

These groups of veteran soldiers, organised by means of social networks, meet periodically according to call-up or geographical location, so maintaining the bonds of friendship created during their time in the Army. On this occasion, the former Special Operations Company and Skiing-Climbing Company members requested holding their reunion in Jaca in order to remember, along with their commanders, the engaging moments they had experienced together.
